Finding Inspiration at Every Turn

I’ve worked in mental health for more than 15 years, both in hospitals and out in the community. My career began as a nursing assistant before I trained as a Registered Mental Health Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Since then, I’ve worked across the NHS and private sector, from eating disorder wards and locked psychiatric units to community settings where I supported people to stay in their homes rather than go into hospital.

Alongside nursing, I trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and became accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies. My work in CBT gave me deep insight into people’s minds - why we think and behave the way we do, and what helps us change.

But over time I saw the limits of working strictly within the CBT model. Many people wanted more than traditional therapy offered: space to explore their life purpose, spirituality, or simply a broader, more personalised approach. That’s what led me to create The Little Powerful Company.

Today, I draw on both worlds: the rigour of therapy and the openness of intuitive practice. I use CBT strategies where they’re helpful, but I’m no longer bound by a single framework. Instead, I create tailored sessions and courses that meet you where you are, helping you shift out of the thought loops and patterns that keep you stuck.

I first realised I had a skill for this work when I noticed, even in the therapy room, I naturally wanted to go deeper and wider than the CBT model allowed. I had already applied many of these approaches to my own life - meditation, neuroscience, understanding thought systems - and saw how much more powerful transformation could be when you bring these elements together.

The results I’ve seen with clients have been profound. For some, it’s been the freedom to leave an unhealthy relationship or finally write the book they’ve always dreamed of. For others, it’s been finding a sense of self-worth, confidence, or a healthier relationship with their body. Whether it’s a whole-life change or a single breakthrough, the common thread is the release from old loops of thought and behaviour into a new way of living.

That’s the heart of my work: helping you step into the version of yourself you want to be - and showing you that it’s possible.

Who I Work With

I help people who feel ready for change but aren’t sure how to take the next step. My clients often share certain patterns:

  • Low self-esteem or second-guessing themselves

  • Making decisions, then backtracking through doubt or fear

  • Feeling anxious about stepping into the unknown

  • Wondering about their life purpose - particularly after a big transition, such as children leaving home

  • Wanting to upgrade their life, whether that’s in relationships, work, health, or self-image

Sometimes the desire is for a grand change - a new career, leaving an unhappy relationship, writing a book. Other times it’s about smaller but equally important shifts: feeling more confident, standing up for themselves, or simply finding a deeper sense of meaning.

If you’ve ever felt like life is “just happening to you”, my role is to help you step into the driver’s seat and create the version of yourself you truly want to live as.

What to Expect

Working with me means having someone fully alongside you in your commitment to yourself. Together we’ll:

  • Explore why you want change - and keep coming back to that “why” as your anchor

  • Open up new ways of feeling, thinking, and acting, supported by both therapy strategies and intuitive practices

  • Notice and celebrate shifts, with tools like journalling and worksheets to capture your progress

  • Create a “felt sense” of transformation - real evidence in your daily life that things are different

This isn’t about you committing to me. It’s about you committing to yourself - and me walking alongside to support that commitment.

My Approach

I work from a heart place, with compassion and genuine joy in your progress. My style is both structured and flexible: I draw on proven CBT strategies, but I also work intuitively and reflexively, adapting to your needs in the moment.

For me, the impact goes beyond the individual. When you free yourself from old patterns, it ripples out into your relationships, your work, your home, even the way you show up in the world. Those ripples matter. Transformation in one person creates a positive shift that touches everyone around them.
